Skills for Life Support Programme

Welcome to the Skills for Life Support Programme

The Skills for Life Support Programme will end on the 31 March 2010.

A new regionally managed and delivered programme is currently being commissioned by LSIS and will be available in each region from June 2010. This new programme will create a community of practice by identifying providers with high quality literacy, language and numeracy provision and through the allocation of funds enable them to become key components in a regional delivery model that offers support to other sector providers. Lead practitioners from selected effective providers will help build capacity for sustained self-improvement across the learning and skills sector by facilitating consultancy, continuing professional development and peer networking groups.

Please note that The Skills for Life Support Programme website will still be available between April and June. 

The current Skills for Life Support Programme, which is delivered on behalf of LSIS by CfBT Education Trust and a consortium of national partners, offers a differentiated model of support to meet your current needs and goals. There is a whole range of services available, including development grants, fully subsidised consultancy, peer exchange groups, help for family literacy, language and numeracy (FLLN) and wider family learning (WFL) providers, support for large employers, customised training and development and help with professional development planning.
